Friendly host Kim makes all her guests feel welcome and the waiting staff are always helpful. The restaurant is always busy with locals, however the service is quick despite this. It has an extensive menu with both Chinese and Malaysian dishes.
Favorite Dish: Malaysian beef satays (entre) and Spicy Pork (main....sounds hot but it isn't).
The Standpipe is well known for its authenitic and extremely tasty Indian food. The punjabi prawns are excellent and if you have a small group the banquet is the way to go, if not just order and share. They also have an al la carte menu, which means there is something for everyone and ensures that desserts are covered as well.
Favorite Dish: Punjabi prawns for entre, rogan josh for main and the double choc brownie for dessert.
The menu of the Indian selection is extensive - and apart from being slightly mild - worth the price.
Naan bread is a must try.
