    LINCOLN NATIONAL PARK

by balhannah Written Jun 14, 2012

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I classify this as a tourist trap as unless you have a 4WD vehicle, there probably are only a couple of roads we could drive on.
We didn't know this before hand otherwise, we would not have come.

Admission to the park was $10, which we paid at the self-registration booth. We were on our way then, doing 40km per hour, no speeding in this park! Obviously, a bushfire had been through as the scrub was just starting to regenerate. We looked at the couple of places we could, then drove straight out again, and we were not the only ones, the car before us did exactly the same.

Don't waste your money on this park.

    WHALERS WAY

    Whalers way coastline

The reason I have put this here, is because of the high entry fee of $30 per car to go and visit the coastal scenery and a few ruins at Whalers way. It is privately owned.

I think this entry fee is too steep. Compare it with the National park fees in the area of between $8-$10 for similar scenery, or even as good as or better coastal scenery between Streaky Bay and Elliston for FREE, then it definitely is TOO EXPENSIVE.
For the price, I expected the roads and walking tracks to be in better repair, and for some facilities, not the case.

ENTRY FEE IN 2012....$30 per car
