I do not recommend driving around the sand dunes of Scale Bay Conservation Park as there is little to see except the beach, and there is wooden staircase leading to the beach just down the road. The beach is pristine (except for a discarded car tyre) but unfortunately I didn't get it to myself as there were two blokes and some kids in a ute driving up and down the beach. But it is the equal of places like Vivonne Bay on Kangaroo Island and Almonta Beach in Coffin Bay National Park.
The town of Sceale Bay is a holiday resort town only, with a phone box and boat ramp being the only notable features (there isn't even a sealed road leading to it).
