These holes I came across on my Cape Buffon walk. I just thought thye were "holes", but according to the Interpretive signage, they are known as "Solution Holes."
They were formed when Tree trunks decayed, making an acid which ate away the rocks, and left the roundish hollows behind.
It shows that many Trees were growing here a long time ago.
Be careful of waves when walking around here, and also of the pot-holes, they are quite hard and awkward to walk over, a sprained ankle could easily happen.

Along the Cape Buffon Drive, we stopped by the sign which pointed to Rainbow Rocks, 400m walk.
A short walk, and we were soon there, and sure enough, the cliffs and rock forms were coloured. They were different, as the real dark red ochre was quite smooth.

More wonderful scenery, and another MUST SEE!

This if a loop walk along the cliff top walk, its a MUST DO!

The scenery is fantastic, I loved it! I saw all sorts of amazing shapes that have been carved by the powerful forces of nature, thus creating a very dramatic coastline. This short section includes cliffs, sea stacks and reef platforms.
Interpretive signage along the walk illustrates interesting features of the area and wildflowers can be seen throughout the year.
    Time 60 minutes

The walk is 2.5kms long, easy grade, and a loop
