Stanley Bridge Tavern: Cozy Fires and Yummy Wine

by tigerjapan Updated Sep 10, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Established in 1853 the Stanley Bridge Tavern is a cute little Hills Pub with a lovely front bar with a cozy fire and a restaurant serving quite decent meals. Not casual pub food as such, more what you'd expect from an Adelaide Hills Pub... the food is a little more... "art". The wine menu is quite good and they hae a lovely bottle of Shiraz called Loberthal Road. I hadn't seen it anywhere else and so we bought a couple of bottles to take home with us. We check wine shops in Adelaide before leaving, but couldn't find it in town. A nice drop, i am glad we picked up a couple of bottles while we were there.
