Penguin Tours given by a Park Ranger operate nightly at or just after dusk (for tickets I think you see the Information Centre just near the bridge) If you don't want to take a tour, the only other way to see the penguins is to eat at the restaurant on the island. For some awesome scenery take a walk on the “Heysen Trail” which can be connected to just past the Bluff or at Parsons beach or Newland Headlands.(A must do). You can walk this track to Cape Jervis but it takes a couple of days, camping areas are available for keen bushwalkers. Pick up the map from the tourist information centre in Victor Harbour.

All ferries leave from Cape Jervis to Kangaroo Island which is approx 35mins drive from Victor Harbour. Coaches also go from Adelaide 101 Franklin Street Adelaide on the Sealink Connection. Coaches depart Adelaide at 6.45am or 3.45pm to connect with the ferry at Cape Jervis at 9.00am or 6pm. Certain hotels in Adelaide also have pick-ups. The other ferry line is called "Spirit of Kangaroo Island" which leaves Cape Jervis at 10.00am/ 1pm/ 4pm and 7pm.
