Luggage and bags:
It is an island to travel around so a backpack is the best.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Take everything, it can be hot in the summer, cold in the summer, wet in the summer. And in the winter, it can be cold, so sweaters and jackets are a must.
Photo Equipment: Take all you have and can carry, it is an paradise to photograph
Whatever the weather in the rest of Australia is doing... don't forget to rug up for Tasmania... it can get hot... however, that icy wind is unforgiving if you've forgotten your woollens
Photo Equipment: A camera and anything else needed to record this amazing place is a mandatory essential!
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Overcoat or 'Drizabone' - a must!
Miscellaneous: Extra pair of shoes... while your others are drying!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For Southeast Asian people like me who enjoy the sun all year round, pack some gloves and cold clothings as the weather can change drastically even for summer. I still feel cold in summer and autumn. Bring thick jackets if planning to visit in winter. Otherwise a thin thermal top, jacket and wear long pants if going out.
Luggage and bags:
Hobart is a tourist friendly city, your trolley bags, backpacks or whatever else you plan to bring will be fine.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: As a resident of Hobart all my life I can safely say you need to pack for all conditions and that is not a try to be prepared IN CASE of any weather changes, in Tassie you WILL see four seasons not everyday, every hour. There’s an old joke about Tasmania: ‘If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes’. Light layers are perfect and always have a jumper, always be prepared for a change of weather in Hobart! Walking around Hobart is easy but good, comfortable shoes are necessary.
