Great day-trippers from Launceston. Suitable for students and folks on a budget. Get to mingle with the mainly young (hostelite) crowd and get to go places cheaper.
My group took 1 day-trip with them:
The Waterfalls, Caves & Wildlife day tour for A$80 (circa 2001). Please see the tips under Mole Creek.
This is the other tour company my group signed on for a day-trip to the western coasts of Tasmania from Launceston. The trip we had in mind wasn't exactly in the list of itineraries offered by the company but as there was 4 of us and we had another tourist who was interested in our plans, the tour agency agreed to do a specialised full-day tour just for the 5 of us.
We had a a great guide cum driver for the excellent trip to Guide Falls, Sheffield, Davenport, Burnie and Stanley, courtesy of the great folks at Tiger Wilderness.
The trip cost us A$89 (circa 2000)
If you have a reasonably large group, why not try your luck with them to see if you can plan out your own itinerary.
There is a shuttle bus running to-&-fro the airport.
The 1 way journey is A$14 (circa Dec 08) and there is no savings from buying a return ticket.
You'll have to call and book the service.
