Wine tasting with Issy.: There is nowhere to go.

Rhyndaston really is an out of the way place, we were told of a bar several kilometeres up the road but its not very clean and the owner is a miserable old sod. My best advice is to stock up at the bottle shop and have a night in, we were introduced to the `clean skin` bottle of wine, a locally produced wine sold cheap as opposed to putting a label on it and selling it on. It can be a lottery but its a great way to get good wines. Our choice didn`t dissapoint, David Wynn cab sav 2001. Issy is a bit `Rock n roll` these days and would prefer a bottle Jack Daniels.

    Miles from anywhere.: Visiting friends

There are no bars and no restaurants in Rhyndaston, its about as isolated as you can get so a great way to spend an evening is visiting friends. Brendon appears to be running from something here, Becky probably asked for a hand with the washing up.

    BURPPP!

This is Rhyndaston, its miles from anywhere (and all the better for it) so you make your own fun. On our last night we took a few bottles round to Forest Road to visit Liam and Marion, Brendon, Sinead and Tara and had a whale of a time, Marion and Becky cooked great plates of food Paul pulled the corks and i helped Liam drink it all. We got the grand tour including the old bank safe welded into the wall where Liam keeps his peashooters and the extensive gardens/wilderness. All jolly civilised until Marion started mooning. But it wasn`t over that easily, after returning home and putting the hordes of kids to bed there was a knock at the door and in came Liam And Marion for round two (poor Brendon had to sit through all this as he was driving) We finally drained the last of the grog at 4am, shame really a few more hours and we could have gone straight to the airport for our flight to Sydney.
Picture taken by candle light as Paul was too tight to light the fire.
