Corio celebrates new and exciting events by holding community festivals.
Flinders Peak Secondary College was funded for a community garden. To raise awareness about the community garden they held a festival to welcome local people in, to encourage them to come and use the community garden and to get together to celebrate a community project.
There was face painting, barbecue lunch, apple bobbing, potting plants to take home, scarecrows to be made, herb garden beds to be planted, a jumping castle and lots of ceramic tiles and wooden squares to paint or decorate.
It was a two day festival and by the end of the second day the organizers were exhausted.
