Watch the weather, it can change instantly... We went up one morning and it was sunny and 'warm'...not long after it turned into a blizzard... I recommend that you take warm clothes in a backpack if you plan to spend the day up on the mountains and it looks like it will be a nice day. ;)

If you plan to drive up to Falls Creek in the winter time you will need to carry chains for your tyres...you may not need to use them but it is better to be safe than sorry... :)
Also remember to drive to the conditions...it can get very slippery up there in the snowy/wet conditions...
