    Indoor Merry go round.

Favorite thing: The city of Geelong has a beautiful foreshore. Lots of things to do along the Esplanade. There are many Eateries, Cafes, Bars, Marina, Merry Go Round, and Train for the little people...

Fondest memory: This building houses the large Merry go round... Many childrens birthday parties are held here. Great, in any kind of weather...

    Trampoline fun

Favorite thing: This seems to be a new kind of amusement in Geelong (I hadn't seen it before). Kind of a bit like a 'right way up' bungee.
Participants jump on a trampoline -they're strapped into a harness which has elastic 'cords' enabling them to jump extremely high and perform all kinds of somersaults, backward manoevers and such.
Looks like fun, and it's not just for kids (though the weight limit is 100 kgs)

Right nearby, again right on the waterfront, is a children's carousel ride inside a glassed in structure.

    Park

Favorite thing: All the parks along the foreshore are lovely. Palm trees, as well as shade trees are everywhere. During the summertime, it can get a little crowded here, as there are many visitors from the surrounding regions, as well as Melbourne.

    Resturants on the Pier...

Favorite thing: There are 2 restaurants on Cunningham pier - Smorgy's, a family Restaurant, and Buccaneers a cafe restaurant.
I often see bus loads of travellers stop here.
They flock to Smorgys, it is an all you can eat smorgasboard restaurant.

Favorite thing: visit Smorgy's at Cunningham Pier. Right beside the new Carousel and located beside the Waterfront Walk, overlooking Corio Bay.

Fondest memory: I love to walk on the beach and Geelong has lovely beaches. You can drive to any of our beaches, find accomodation, have a nice meal, and then walk off the meal on some our pretty beaches.

    The Bay..

Favorite thing: There are many quiet and tranquil areas, like this one, along the foreshore.
So if you prefer to be where there are less people, you should have no problem finding the perfect spot.

    Geelong waterfront

Favorite thing: Here's a pic of part of the docks area at Geelong, the city by the bay (Port Phillip Bay, that is), anti clockwise around the bay from Melbourne.
