This place really is a wharf shed - it has huge windows with views of the waterfront (which is less than 5 metres away - you're right on the bay). It's an open - very casual - kind of place with a beach/bush feel to it.
Service is efficient and prompt and the staff are very friendly.
(4 of my photos for this tip were taken with my phone, so the quality isn't that great)
Favorite Dish:
Their beer battered fish (a favourite of mine) is delicious and comes with mouthwatering fries (chips), lemon and tartare sauce. The servings are huge - I couldn't finish mine. Their pita wraps are big as well and filled with flavours. Their speciality is seafood and wood-oven pizzas. You can even get kangaroo meat here if you're willing to try it.
Also, have one of the hot chocolates, yummm!!!
UPDATE: The Wharf Shed also sell Magners - one of my favourite drinks (also known as 'Bulmers')
Price: about average > more expensive than average.
(Located above the Wharf Shed is Le Parisien - a French restaurant, but I have not been there as yet)
There are two restaurants in this building.
The Wharf Shed Cafe is downstairs.
Le Parisien is upstairs.
The building also has outdoor toilets for public and patrons.
Favorite Dish:
Haven't eaten much at either restaurant so I don't know the menus that well.
Le Parisien has Frogs Legs and Snails on it's menu if you are feeling particularly brave. I have tried both and preferred the Frogs legs.
Situated on Geelong Waterfront.
Relaxed, informal buzzing place.
Bar, outside & inside seating
Favorite Dish:
Huge selection of meals.
From soup to sandwiches. Seafood to Steak or just a snack. A piece of cake or crackers & dips.
All meals freshly prepared to order & very reasonably priced.
Meals have always been of a generous size & delicious.
Buckley's is a nice place for a meal, and often has live music as well. You can make a social night of it.
Favorite Dish:
They serve a wide variety of foods, all of which are very nice.
