I've seen the sound and light show a couple of times, and, while interesting, I think it's a bit more for kids....though adults could enjoy it too (my companion thought it was a bit 'cheesy').
A lot of it is basically a re-enactment of Ned Kelly's last stand, complete with gunfire, set indoors for a while, and then moving outside into the yard for the shoot out...
If you're interested in bushrangers & adventure & Ned Kelly, you should like this place.

We decided not to visit the Last Stand Show, despite the fact that in `Down Under` Bill Bryson described it as being so awful that it was great,
instead we made for Kates Cottage and spent a happy couple of hours there reading the Ned Kelly story and looking at the hundreds of pieces of daily life that are in here
in the garden is a replica of the Kelly`s cottage, and its newspaper covered walls, ramshackle furniture and bare earth floors are very poingant, as camcorderman said, if he lived like that he`d consider robbery as a solution too
in the garden are a pair of talking cockatoos, and a beautiful peacock, apparantly Kellys accomplice Harry Power kept peacocks as `watchdogs`

What to buy: Kate's cottage sells the usual Ned Kelly paraphernalia - the t-shirts, stickers, signs, aussie souvenirs and more - and it has some surprisingly good quality non-Ned Kelly gifts and souvenirs as well.
Worth a look to see just how many different Ned Kelly items are possible in one shop!
