Oddly named, but the walk along Anderson's Inlet thorugh native bushland is an enjoyable and easy 40 minute amble, skirting the shoreline, glimpsing wide expanse of water through the bush and following the creek.

Far end of town beyond the caravan park.

Anderson's Inlet meeting the ocean at Inverloch provides a natural safe (shallow) 'harbour' for small sailing craft - the ideal pastime in a rather sleepy holiday resort. And even if you haven't your own vessel, it's an ideal spectator sport - rub more suntan oils in, settle down with a book and keep a watchful eye on the slightly more active (and colourful) pastime... :)

Across Anderson's Inlet, the small coastal town of Venus Bay is 2-3 kms away. If you could walk on water, that is (or you had access to your own boat). For mere mortals and holidaymakers, the more usual way to get to Venus Bay is by road - a 25kms drive along the banks of the inlet!

The town itself is little more than a number of holiday lets and weekend getaways , a couple of shops and a cafe. But the beach....Mile upon mile of golden sand

Running 17kms between Inverloch and Cape Paterson to the west is the superb Bunurong Marine & Coastal Park. This part of Victoria may play second fiddle to the Great Ocean Rd, but it is nevertheless a stunning coastline - pounding waves, fantastic beaches, rock pools and caves to be explored at low tide, fascinating rock formations to be studied. There's plenty of stopping points to observe or access the beaches.
