Kangaroos..

Serendip Sanctuary, is located at Lara, a 20-minute drive from the Geelong city centre, and a few minutes from the You Yangs.. The place just teems with native birds and animals. You can stroll past ponds and lakes, come face to face with some of the 450 kangaroos and see beautiful brolga in a bush setting.
You may also come across koalas and emus, too. There are barbecue and picnic facilities available. And entry to the sanctuary is free..

From the You Yangs..

This view shows The Avalon Air Field, even though it is quite a long way away, you can see the large white Hanger in the distance.. This is where the International Air Show was held earlier this year.

Melbourne.. from the You Yangs..

It wasn't a very clear day, so you can only just see the City of Melbourne. If you enlarge the photo, you will get a better view.
On a clear day, it should be very visable.

Granite Boulders..

Some of the smaller boulders of granite, seen along the hiking trail.. These are actually a lot larger than they appear..
