Watch out for speed traps along the Great Ocean Road. Speed limits vary from 60kmh to 90 kmh. It is usually 60kmh around the towns and there are police cars lying in weight. There is a tendency to lose track of your speed especially when the roads are seemingly empty, but there are police out there waiting for you. Fines are really hefty! I got caught and was fined $300!

Saw this warning sign at Anglehook-Lorne State Park. Slippery rocks, snakes, and falling branches, what else, take a close look.
Someone scribbled something below the snakes warning. It reads, "SNAKES Take Care Humans are coming!".
Food for thought.

This is the warning sign next to the wooden stairs leading down to Jan Juc beach. For some unknown reasons, the stairs were closed and the sign said "No Entry". Despite the warning, there were people climbing over the blockade to get down to the beach, so I did too. :p
