Old Gold Fields

These are recommended camping sites around Maldon, Castlemaine and surrounding areas.
Castlemaine is approximately 15 minutes from Maldon. This also is a lovely old town, with many things to see.
The following are some sites where you can camp:-
Butts Reserve :- This site is located inside the Maldon Historic Reserve at the base of Mt Tarrengower.

Red, White and Blue Mine:-Located in the Muckleford State Forest at an old mining site.
A large dam near the camping site.

The Oaks:- This site is situated on the Western side of Mt Alexander on the edge of the forest of oaks.
