It stands on a prominent corner and surrounded by devastation, with the ever-present sounds of heavy machinery used to clear the rubble of Black Saturday - 7th February 2009. The view is piles of mess that will disappear and be replaced by new building works as the town re-builds like the legendary Phoenix which rose from the ashes. Yet one business survived all that carnage - the Marysville Country Bakery and Cafe.
The business serves up a great range of tasty pies, pastries, cakes of all shapes and sizes as well as hot and cold drinks. There is indoor dining, or if you prefer an outdoor setting where you can see a town being re-built.
