The nightlife in Melbourne is varied. Best nights to go out are Fridays nights, the weekend and Monday nights. Crown Complex houses a few nightclubs, Heat, Mercury Lounge just to name a few. Qbh ( the largest nightclub in the southern hemisphere) is situated across the road from crown is a trendy new place to be. Also visit the Metro on Bourke St. Or travel down Chapel Street in South Yarra for great dining followed by hitting the clubs afterwards. There is always something to do there. by KhaanPatrick So far I seem to know more about night life than anything else just when ombre is about go to sleep . I start my night life and cocogal has to come to the party as the lazy so and so sleeps.here is a pic of ombre's good mate magpies holding me . magpies is trying some sad facial hair and looks like a tosser with it. Ombre must like him to let him hold me .
I dress to impress for my night life ,being cold in melbourne now I try to me as snug as a bug in a rug lol. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

There are pockets of nightlife centres in Melbourne. Prahran, Acland Street, Collingwood and of course the Crown Casino. Melbourne is decidedly indoors. Its pubs are cosier and more pleasant because you do not see much of those dreadful pokies which have invaded Sydney pubs. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

Chapel Street...a bit far if you're staying at the city, but worth it. You can always catch a taxi to get back home Lots of clubs and bars and pubs, etc etc... Aussie people say Revolver is a must (and it certainly is!), Salt Club on Daley street just off Chapel St for some R&B music and people watching.
People wear whatever they want in Melbourne...good or bad, so no worries about coolness standards, however if u are heading to Chapel Street it's a good idea to get a bit nicely dressed as some clubs there are a bit cheesy (but there's always a more relaxed place to go to almost next door). City centre...it's got some nice places to go to, not been to all of them though. There's always one around the corner, so have a look at some of them, then choose...or you can always do some sort of drinking tour around the city City centre...Pugg Mahoney's for a beer, the Metro is huge for dancing at 1 Bourke Street, just in front of the Melbourne's Hard Rock. The Kitten Club (if u can find the little entrance door) on Little Collins Street just off Swanston for a drink or some cool live music. Many many many more. Lots of pubs all around the city.
Not so picky as Chapel Street Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by Krystynn For the non-party animals, don't despair! Melbourne can also be fun for you.... Like Paris (yes, that other glam city in Europe), the monuments of Melbourne are all brightly lited up at night. You can go on a leisurely stroll along the streets of Melbourne OR rent a car and go on a leisurely drive. C'est la vie! Photo Below: That's the awesome VICTORIA ARTS CENTRE all aglow at nightfall. by Krystynn That's me (in the pic below) standing along SOUTHBANK PROMENADE on Christmas Eve of 1999. There is just so many things to do here... and Southbank NEVER sleeps! Party animals will be thrilled to read this, I'm sure. :-D Have fun, mates! Theme: Other

by Krystynn That's me celebrating Christmas with my cousin (he's a doctor attached to the Geelong Hospital), his Australian-Chinese (ex) girlfriend and my relatives here in Melbourne's most famous entertainment complex - The Crown Hotel here in Southbank. Santa Claus really caught me off guard... as you can see from the pic below. :-D Theme: Other
