    Fresh, cheap Vietnamese cuisine.

    The decor is simple and homely with round tables and a Formica floor, the back wall is painted with a beautiful view of a tropical beach.

    Off the beaten path and slightly unkept, BUT: Authentic, and visited by the Indonesian community.

    Favorite Dish: Pick-your-own-lunch, rice + 3 dishes, $7.20.
    Fried chicken, bok choy, vegetable curry, chendol.

    The sashimi is fresh, but rather expensive. I would recommend Japanese Food lovers to try the Bento Set during lunchtime.

    Favorite Dish: The Bento Set. However, the promotion is only on during lunchtime.

    Better than a restaurant is a DIY picknick on St Kilda beach or pier, with the beautiful food from Victoria Market. The deli section there is just incredible!
