This is probably the best set of five pics I've downloaded for any spot. It's not giving a rap to my ability rather a way of saying how easy it is to get good shots in a place as scenic as this.
This place is consistently beautiful rather than stunningly spectacular. It rewards the out of doors type person with scene after scene that makes you want to sigh.
Located about 3 hours south east of Melbourne the only accommodation inside the park is in the form of campsites without power but with water.
Just outside the park there's a blossoming B&B industry growing up so all types are now catered for.
It's Victoria's most popular National Park and with good reason.
I have extensive pages and photos under the Wilsons Promontory banner if you want more information.

Wilson's Promontory
It is simply stunning down at the Prom. You can go there at any time of the year, and there are plenty of camping spaces and limited accomodation. It's best to book well in advance for the accomodation there, but it's great to go camp there, as you will meet heaps of people, and you'll be so close to the nature. I've been known to trip over wombats on my way to the toilets in the middle of the night. :) The beaches are stunning, the walks are amazing, especially if you 'bite the bullet' and do an overnight hike. You will see the most amazing part of Victoria.

Friendly Wombat

Awesome National Park with pristine beaches and great wildlife, camping & hiking trails.
As you can see in the photo the native wombats are pretty friendly!
