    You can take the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry from Melbourne to Tasmania or Tasmania to Melbourne - an overnight journey.

    Melbournians get frustrated with the tram system but if you are a tourist and want to take a slow and cheap ride around Melb, do hop on a tram.

    This is a great way to go around downtown Melbourne and it's FREE!! You can past major sites & shopping centres. Trams run in both directions every ten minutes, everyday

    Internationally, there are a miriad of options for flying into Melbourne.
    Domestically, you have Quantas, Jetstar, Virgin Blue and a few other small carriers.

    Try the car ferry to get to or from Tassie. A 14 hour trip will do it on the Spirit of Tasmania - a state of the art ferry with sleeping berths, restaurants, cinema, casino and more.

    Melbourne's fleet of trams is being upgraded and includes sleek, low floor types. Also special "City sights" and "Restaurant" Vintage trams are part of the interesting mix.
