Sign announcing the quarantine zone

The Murray Basin around Mildura is a wine and fruit growing region. So far, it is considered free of fruit-flies and farmers want it to stay free of fruit-flies.

Entering this region, the same quarantine restrictions apply as on the interstate borders. Fruit and vegetables cannot be taken into the Murray Basin. Cars entering have to stop at checkpoints along the roads and will be controlled. So finish off all food and veggies you might be carrying before entering the prohibited zone.

I liked the sign with the drawing... LOL, Germans will imediately recall Loriot's Bernhard Grzimek parody about the stone lice (Steinlaus)...

My stay in Mildura was too short to write many competent tips about this town. A few remarks, however, and some photos taken around Mildura are to be posted.
