Part of the garden

What do you do with an old delinquent boys home that is surrounded by a farm that gave the boys a rural lifestyle complete with pristine views across Port Phillip Bay and almost right next door to some of the most expensive bay side suburbs of Melbourne? Turn the whole complex into an award winning wine estate - including cellar door sales - complete with magnificent 4 star accommodation, fine restaurant and up-market function centre for weddings etc., all surrounded by rose garden with 300 varieties, leafy walk ways leading to dramatic fountains and call the 38 acre property Morning Star Estate.

Morning Star Estate is all of the above and more and truly magnificent.

A walk past the various buildings shows the grandeur of the estate, which was originally built as a rural or holiday retreat, incorporating a variety of picturesque styles including Tudor and Gothic revival.

The meals in the function centre are stunning (author attended a wedding) and served by attentive staff - and the meals are served with the estates own wines - red and white wines of various types.
