There are a number of beautiful beaches on Phillip Island including many that are great for surfing like Woolamai. We enjoyed Smiths Beach as walking along this beach we saw a number of interesting sights including cliffs, rock pools and plants.

San Remo is the gateway to Phillip Island on the eastern entrance of Western Port. It dates back to 1840s when the deep water port at Griffiths Point was used to export local products such as wattlebark, farm produce and cattle. The township that grew around the port was renamed San Remo after the town on the Italian Riviera in 1888.
Before the building of the suspension bridge visitors had to rely on ferries for access to Phillip Island.
There is pelican feeding at Fishermen's Co-op. San Remo everyday at 11:30a.m.
