Phillip Island

If you are headed to Phillip Island during the winter time, and you want to go out and watch the penguin parade... make sure you dress warmly before you get there. You can purchase appropriate weather gear in the gift shop, but that will cost you!

They are are nice enough to give you a gauge before you go in, so make sure you are prepared!

In July, it was about 9 degrees Celsius

Seagulls Attacking.

If you are headed to Phillip Island, make sure you do not feed the seagulls. Although it is normally not a good practice, it can be especially dangerous here, as there have been incidences of seagulls attacking!

If you are going to feed them, make sure it is away from small children, as sometimes these gulls can confuse them for fish ;)

Australian beaches are beautiful but they can also be dangerous. So look for beaches that are patrolled by lifeguards and swim between the flags that are erected each day. I've included a link to a beach safety website.
