Again I will say to visitors to any beach/lake/water hole in Australia, BE CAREFUL...swim between the flags on beaches, if you aren't sure if it's a good area to swim. DON'T.....
When you go out in a boat make sure you have all the life saving equipment you need.
Life Jackets , flares etc.
Check the boating laws and follow those. One minute you can be in calm waters the next you can be in trouble.
Fishing is a favourite of the Aussies, even locals get caught in dangerous circumstances.
Do not fish off rocks that are close to the water. Incoming waves are dangerous.
Please be careful.....
