Patee Thai

It has a great feel about the place, nice & comfortable for romantic dinners or with friends. They do cater for large groups. They have low Thai music playing in the backround which adds to the feel. Chairs are available as well as traditional padded cushions to sit on the floor. The service is fantastic & the prices are very resonable for the delicious food. The staff are very friendly.

Open 7 Days from 6:00pm, Licensed & B.Y.O (Wine Only)

Melway Map: 58 D7, Group bookings welcome, Seats 90

Take away is available to the same menu as dine in.

Favorite Dish: Grilled Marinated Chicken with Turmeric & Coriander roots - $13.50 (AUD). A beautiful dish that combines chicken marinated with coriander root, garlic, curry powder, turmeric. A great mix of flavours just makes you wanting more, best accompanied with coconut rice.

San Churro

According to the website, the San Churro history started in 1528 when Hernan Cortes brought the Aztec tradition of chocolate to Spain. It was so precious that only the monks were allowed to manufacture chocolate strictly for the Spanish aristocracy. The head monk, San Churro, witnessed many miracles of chocolate including the healing of the Queen of Spain & made it his life's work to spread the 'secret' of chocolate across Europe.

The staff here are really friendly. The smell of the chocolate outside will bring you in off the street. The menu starts at $1.90 for single chocolates. There are also many drinks available including hot chocolate & milksharkes.

9 stores in Victoria & more around Australia

Favorite Dish: Chocolate Tapas, mmm so very good. A mixture of chocolate dips, spanish donuts, fine chocolates & ice cream $15 AUD. The milkshakes are also very good.

Gurkhas

A fantastic restaurant in the hustle of Chapel Street. The surroundings of the venue make you feel very welcome & warm. They have done a great job with the decorating. They will cater for all different size groups, including romantic dinners for 2.

They staff are very friendly & the service is fast.

They also have other restaurants in Carlton, Brunswick, Flinders St. Melbourne, Nth Fitzroy & Richmond.

Bookings are recommended.

Favorite Dish: Ginger Chicken & Mushroom $14.90 (AUD). Just a beautiful dish that is fantastic with Masala Roti & Steamed Coconut Rice. The dish is a mix of stirfry chicken, mushrooms, ginger & other spices.

The Napalese Delight for Dessert is sensational. It's Ice Cream made of Condensed Milk, Pistachio Nuts & flavoured with Mango.
