Campbells Wines of Rutherglen have been producing top quality table and fortified wines in Rutherglen since 1870.
They have an excellent range of both of the abovementioned with their best quality stickies being the "Merchant Prince" Muscat & the "Isobella" Tokay. I bought one of the Merchant Prince Muscats packaged in a wododen box quite some years ago and it cost me $85 Australian then. In its defence, much of the base wine of this is from one of their oldeswt soleras. This is rich stuff indeed, both literally and metaphorically speaking. I still haven't opened my bottle, but have drunk the cheaper ones which are in the early 20's of Australian $.
I have a collection of unusual white wines that they do in a very dry style. "Pedro Ximinez" Very nice indeed if you like this style.
Their "Bobbie Burns" Shiraz is a fmaous drop of red worth buying too. Have a couple of bottle of that in my little cellar too!
