Kyabram is about half an hours drive from Shepparton. The fauna park used to be a fantastic place to visit as a kid...I went back just a few years ago though and it wasn't quite as big as it used to be (or maybe I grew up?!).

Koala

Here's a koala I found while camping on the Murray River one day...he was quite happy to sit while I took photos... He didn't even mind my dog coming up really close to him...I think he's seen a few people over his lifetime.

A 'wild' koala

Ulupna Island is a camping area near Strathmerton (about 45 minutes drive north of Shepparton). It's a great area for camping if you don't mind 'roughing it' (there are no facilities there) and you'll see lots of wild animals. :)

You might have to stop for directions in Strathmerton though.

Koala

Yet another cute koala that I found at the Murray River... This one was also very friendly for a 'wild' animal and didn't mind us having our photos taken with him. :)

This little fella was at the Kyabram Fauna Park on one of my visits... Cute huh? This is one of my favourite photos of a koala that I've taken. :)
