    It was Anzac Day when we were here, and there were lots of flowers and wreathes placed around the monument, by loved ones.
    There would have been an early morning gathering of family, friends, and others in the forces. A day of Rememberance.

    The Continental Hotel is apparently one of the biggest hotels in Sorrento. This photo was taken downhill from it, so not all of the hotel is seen.
    Judging by the prices in Sorrento, I would imagine it to be quite expensive to stay there.

    Although diving is something I have never done, no trip to Sorrento would be complete without going out on a diving tour.
    Boats from Sorrento carry passengers and divers who want to swim with the dolphins. They can always be found off their feeding and breeding grounds near Portsea.

    This is definitely something I will be doing next time I visit Sorrento.

    Another regular on these waters.. Seals.. lazing on anything that sits above the water.
    I managed to get a fantastic shot of a seal swimming past the ferry. He was laying on his side, on top of the water, and one flipper was raised.. waving.. lol..

    Sorrento is a pretty resort town, and lots to see while walking around the main streets.
    The main shopping/business center is only a couple of hundred meters from the beach.
    I always enjoy walking through these places, as you see so much more that way.
    And you also get a chance to grab the odd souvenir..

    The parks and gardens on the foreshore are shaded by beautiful old trees, a great place for a picnic by the beach..
    There are also rotundas, and lots of picnic tables... if a 'Blanket on the Ground' isn't your thing.. ;-)
    This place can be wonderful for a family outing, or a lovely setting for couples to relax.

    Ahhh... the Ferry awaits.. Time for our return trip across Port Phillip Bay.
    I was waiting to see the sunset on our way back to Queenscliff, and hoping it wasn't too early.

    As we were leaving Sorrento, we were given a real big send off by the 'Jet Ski Cowboys'.. The Ferry was surrounded by them...
    You couldn't half tell that they were just showing off their waterskills.

    I don't often see this particular flag, mostly we just see the blue version of the same..I guess this would have to be a Marine flag, displayed on sea going craft.
    Very striking color though.

    This is the view from where the shopping area begins. It was a strenous uphill walk, but the view was beautiful from up here.
