Didn't get to climb it as you can only do that on a guided tour and we didn't have enough time to wait.
Tours seem to go fairly regularly though.
Breathtaking views can be seen from the top of the lighthouse if you are energetic enough to make the climb – it can also be pretty windy so hang on to your hat if you are wearing one.
On this southern tip of Australia there is nothing but ocean. The next pice of land you will hit after this is Antartica.
Quite amazing though really!!!
From the top of the lighthouse you can see where the Southern Ocean meets the Indian Ocean.
Its a great view and worth the climb.
Close to the Lighthouse is the old Waterwheel. It ws build in 1905 to tap into a spring and provide fresh water for the men building the lighthouse. It was still in operation until 1928.
There are other caves in the area. The Moondyne Adventure Cave is the most recently developed and can provide first hand understanding into caving.
