The Leschenault Inlet is an estuarine lagoon that lies to the north of Bunbury. The fresh water Collie and Preston Rivers flow into the estuary.
It is a very popular fishing area for locals but it is quite shallow and suitable only for small boats.
In season, many people wade into the water with scoop nets to catch the famed "Blue Manna" crabs which are prized for their sweet flesh.
