    Waiting for "Second Breakfast"

Resaurant with open sides and outside area ideal for watching the sunset. Comfortable chairs. Selection of differing styles of food for all occasions. Fully licenced with cocktails to accompany the sunset.
    Booking recommeded for large parties.
High quality food at ordinary prices but you have to order at the counter and fetch your meal when the pager they give you goes off.

My husband and I had "Second Breakfast" here late one morning. He had 'The Big Breakfast" which was enormous, with 2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, 4 small sausages, tomatos, baked beans, mushrooms and toast. He could only just finish it and he's a big eater.
I had an exquisite friut platter (very fresh, high quality fruit) with a wonderful greek yoghurt flovoured with almond meal and spices.
Dinner the next day, fisherman's basket and chicken breast with herb filling were equally as good.

Beautiful, spottlessly clean courtyard eating area looking out over the sea. Food served in environmantally friendly containers made from sugar cane with plastic knives and forks.
High class fish dishes at very resonable prices. Fully licensed.

Kiosk round the corner for ice creams and snacks.

Go down onto the beach and see the hermit crabs while you're there.

We had grilled barramundi and chips with their famous Aoili sauce, it was absolutely delicious.

  • Small cafe in shopping centre. Reasonable selection of light meals including fried breakfats, sandwiches, foccacias, pots of tea, cappuchinos etc. All very fresh, large portions, well made.
One of the few airconditioned cafes in the town centre.

Aarli bar: fish to feed 4
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • I love that way Aarli bar is laid out. most of the resturant is outside. Also all the dishes are tapas so you share them amongst a few of you. it has a great intimate atmosphere.

The one dish that does look amazing but i couldnt really have as it was just me is their fish. they have this HUGE fish that is to be shared tapas style with 4-6 other people. it looks AMAZING!! plus when you add all the other little tapas dishes around on the side it a pretty decent feed.

The night i went for dinner was a little bit of a debacle but when i went back the next day for breakfast it was a lot nicer. what i ordered for dinner was nice but there wasnt much squid in my salad..i literally had to "fish" for it amongst a sea of greens. then when i ordered a dessert i was told they were out of the 2 desserts i wanted. When i went to pay they apologised and said it was fine and i was also dissapointed with the squid salad. they gave me the salad for free.

I only had a couple of different things but the eggplant was supurb and they do a pretty good eggs benedict.

Without a doubt my favourite dish was the trio of fish... Baramundi, Tasmanian Pink Salmon and Threadfin Salmon on a bed of crisp stir-fried vegetables in a cream lemon-lime sauce! Delicious darling... simply divine!

Aloy Dee Thai: cheapest best thai ever
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • This is by far THE BEST thai in regional WA. I love the couple that run it they are really nice funny people. I tell them every tim i go in that they are the best thai outside perth and they treat me like gold...its the best. I was trying to make an effort to try everything on the menu before i left Broome, but the last couple of days i spent there, the restuant was closed due to death in the family....very sad. they also have very good lunch specials from around $8AUD AND they have a stall at the weekend markets.

When i was on the Oceanic (see things to do tip!) there was a couple on board that had spen $300 in Cable Beach club at the new Thai restuarant there and they said the food wasnt that good. Imagine how upset they were when i told them about Aloy Dee Thai

I am a big fan of Thai Beef salad its my way of judging thai resturants. theres is only around $14 AUD (compare to the usual $19-$20) and it is supurb. The Pad Thai i had with chicken AND prawn was around $12aud.

  • Tip Rating:

  • More stileful and a perfect end of a romantic evening
(eg after the camel ride: see tip there).

    Very good food.

    Located right at the Cable-beach.

The restaurant has open sides, so it is like sitting outside without actually doing so.

Duck or fresh Prawns and Scallops etc.

They also serve very good seafood.

Land of Pharoahs Kebabs and Falafal: best middle eastern food in WA
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • How good is this place!! it is by far the best middle eastern restuarant in WA!! The resturant is tastefully decorated in egyptian decor and the ambience is fantastic. They have such a good reputation for their kebabs. They have both large ($9.50AUD) and small ($7.50AUD) Kebabs in beef shicken and falafal. They also use halal meat as well!

definately the rice dishes!! The beef rice with salad is awesome...its $13AUD for take away and $18 for eat in!
