Fishing of the Prawn Jetty in Carnarvon can provide some great sport, we caught some good size GT`s plus plenty of Bream and other speices as well. You can use bait or lures we caught fish on both and if it`s reef sharks that you want try using live bait.
One mile jetty can provide you with some great Tailor sport the best time to catch these are when the sun is then going down, about half way down the jetty you can get right down to the waters edge making life a bit easier and use shiny lures reeling them really fast the Tailor love to chase them and if you do get one the are really nice to eat so happy day`s .

    Coral Reef

The Kurni-ku vessel will also bring you out to the outer reef for snorkelling in the open waters. If you are lucky, you will be able to see some reef sharks which the guide will lead you. I didnt swim out with them as the currents were too strong. I snorkel around the reef near the vessel. Beautiful coral and fishes.

The Kurni-ku vessel will bring you to this sheltered lagoon at the outer reef. This is a turtle sanctuary. You will see many turtles swimming at the surface of the waters of the lagoon.

This used to be the old post office in Carnarvon and they have retained the original building. They serve mainly pizza and some sides such as garlic bread. This place is only open on evenings and is usually quite popular on the weekend, especially with take-aways! I guess the only problem is that occasionally the owners go on holidays and they shut down the restaurant while they are away and you miss out on the fantastic food.

Favorite Dish: Sweet Chili Chicken Pizza. When we used to go out here for pizza we always ordered this and it was the first pizza to go! The base has sweet chili sauce and the chicken on it is fabulous. Trust me order this one!

The waitor here is amazing, on a table of 20 woman he took our orders without pen and paper, remembered them all in his head! And when our meals where served he got them perfectly correct. On a cold night bring a jacket and sit outside and watch the sun set beside your table. Best to make a booking if dining with more than 3 as this is a popular spot with the locals.

Favorite Dish: I love the seafood basket, though get it grilled and not fried. They use local seafood normally so is absolutely brillant.

In Carnarvon there is a large Abororignal community and a small majority like to get drunk at night time a throw bottles at each other and anyone walking by, we didn`t actually see much of this but the lady in the bottle shop told us to carefull when walking about at night.
