The drive takes approx 2.5hrs - 3hrs from Perth depending on traffic conditions. The road is a Bitumen two lane highway which at times can be dangerous with all the heavy machinery and road trains being transported up the highway to the mines.
It is safer to travel at day time as numerous Australian animals like Kangaroos, Emu's and possums often cross the roads at night, be especially careful at dawn and dusk.
Fill your car up with petrol before leaving Perth and carry plenty of water. There are petrol stations along the way but they are very limited.
Cars can be hired from Perth Airport and within the CBD. If wanting to go off the bitumen road then I highly suggest you hire a 4WD as most of the Coral Coast is incredibly sandy.
The other company which offers excellent tours is Graylines which are located in Perth. They also offer a fantastic day tour taking in the wildlife and the thrilling adventure of of Desert Storm riding the huge 4X4 sand bus down the massive dunes. A guided tour through the Pinnacles is another highlight.

There are numerous bus tours to the Pinnacles which operate from Perth. The most popular day tour is with Pinnacle Tours which have specially designed 4X4 Adventure vehicles.

the tour departs every day at 8.00am and returns at 7.30pm

and Skywest operate from Perth throughout the Coral coast region with regular scheduled flights to Geraldton, Exmouth, Broome and other coastal towns of NTH WA. If flying you would have to fly to Geraldton which is approx 250kms North from Cervantes and drive down the Brand Hwy.
Cervantes is located 257kms (three hours) north of Perth. You follow the Brand Hwy from Perth and take the turn to Cervantes. There are turn offs to Kangaroo Point and Hangover Bay on the way to the Pinnacles which is 3 kms from Cervantes.
