This "Tea Shop" (it's much more than that), serves hearty breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, Devonshire teas, A La Carte lunches, take-aways and can provide special menus for groups . Much of the china used is old and beautiful, and the seating is arranged in the same shop area as the antiques. You can browse the antiques (lots of old china, glass, jewellery and bric-a-brac , as well as some items of furniture)while you wait for your food, and then choose whether to sit inside or out on the pavement.
The cakes all looked amazing, I had trouble choosing! I ended up with a slice of creme brulee tart, and a cappuchino, it was absolutley delicious! At one end, it is the 'cappunchino strip' in the centre of town. This cafe is not on the strip, but about a 1/4 of an hours' walk out of town at the corner of Silver Street. Easy parking behind the shop.Website: colonialantiques@iinet.au

We visited on a Sat night and could only get a booking for 6.30pm given we only booked on Thurs we were lucky to get a booking. We were shown to our table straight away and given wine & food munus to browse we were also given iced water. We ordered a garlic bread to nibble while we browsed the menu we also ordered wine by the glass @ $7.50 they have a good beverage list including wine, cocktails & spirits. We ordered an entree which was bought to the table within about 10 mins. We had ordered our main meal at the same time as our entree. We requested our mains be held so we could enjoy our meal chat etc but that was also served pretty promptly after they removed our entree plates. We were then given the dessert list and ordered a tasting platter requesting it be held for about 20 mins expecting and hoping in a restaurant that was so busy it could easily turn into a 30 min wait. However it was served within the 20 mins. The food service ambience value for money is good but we felt rushed more like a cafe stayle than a restaurant of this calibre. We were in for 6.30 and out by 8.15. We had been hoping for a more relaxed intimate evening and after spending $170 for 2 we felt a bit like we had been through a car wash. Service was excellent food was good. We will revisit and hope it will be at a more leisurely pace. We noticed other diners who came at approx the same time as us some had left and some were leaving at the same time as us.
I enjoyed the catch of the day which was Wild Barramindi with lemon sauce, wilted spinach & potato stack it was delicious, I also had the Tasmanian Salmon as an entree which was also delicious ( I always enjoy a fish dish when I eat out & given I couldnt choose between them I had both!!). My husband chose a steak which he said was lovely except for the over powering gravy/sauce. We also chose a serve of season vegetables which were well cooked carrots, brocolli, cauliflower and peppers. The tasting plate we chose for dessert has a little of everything and I think we voted the Passionfruit Brulee & Icky sticky pudding the best. The garlic bread was the same as you get at any restaurant anywhere nothing special. This would have to have one of the best settings for a seafood restaurant it's set out over the water at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour. You dine on seafood while looking at the boats that probably caught the fish only hours before it is served . The setting inside is like a step back in time rough wooden floors the front counter is half a car. Laminex tables & metal chairs.
Have to say I love their seafood chowder. Be warned all meals are large so go hungry, of course they do the best fish & chips. Leave a Comment Theme: SeafoodPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 42 mews rd, fremantle fishing boat harbour

We always enjoy our visits to Joe's which sits right on the harbour with great views but it can get hot in the summer sitting by the window. The decor is old fishing shack with tables and chairs from the 50's. The service is good and the menu pretty extensive and caters for other taste apart from seafood.
Their menu has such things as seafood, chargrills, seafood platters, pastas, salads & sides plus a dessert menu. Try the sticky date pudding which is big enough to share. My choice is either the Coral Bay King Snapper or Barramundi Fillets both served with chips & coleslaw my husband favours the Char Grilled Tasmanian Salmon served with mashed potato & vegetables. I know some people have not had the same experience as we have but we have always enjoyed our meals here. The service is good and there is an extensive beverage list. We have always felt it has been money well spent. Leave a Comment

The food here is always freshly cooked and resonably priced, but their lunch specials are an especially great deal. Theme: Chinese/Dim SumPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: Pier St off Adelaide

Situated along Marine Parade. Divine food. Higher priced than average but like the Essex, it’s well worth it. Open 9am till late, 6 days a week.

The Little Creatures Brewery is a locally owned an operated micro brewery. It is well situated with a rustic ambience and decor inside a big boat shed on the Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle. The brewery is completely open for inspection and the delicious beers are poured straight from the tanks! The restaurant is open all day and bookings are not required so you can just wander in whenever you like. The bar and restaurant is open 7 days a week from 10am to midnight Mon-Fri. Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to midnight. Sorry folks... there aren't any pictures here because yours truly forgot to take his camera!
My favourite dish was the chilli mussels still in the shell still swimming in a spicy and rich chilli sauce. My only regret was that there wasn't enough bread to sop up the spicy juices! The marinated octopus was also quite nice but I found it to be a tad sweet for my taste. You're spoilt for choice when it comes to their own wood fired pizza's and I can thoroughly recommend the harissa spiced lamb with melenzana and feta. Also highly recommended is the prawn with coriander pesto and shiitake mushrooms. Here's a sample menu And it goes without saying that the simply delicious food is washed down with a "hoppy" Pale Ale or a refreshingly crisp Pilsner poured straight from the tanks behind the bar. Indian restaurant in the main street, which was recently voted the best Indian Restaurant in WA for 2005. Set in a small, narrow little building, but the food was fantastic the one time I visited. The 3rd floor of the restaurant has fabric and jewellery displays and on the weekends the bar room metamorphoses into a small boutique.
Everything I've eaten here has been divine.

I love places that have interesting concepts, and this one certainly perked my interest! This Pizza Pasta restaurant offers a nightly AUD12 all you can eat pizza and pasta special... What is unique about this is that you actually order your pizza's, pasta and deserts from their menu!! So when you finish what you have ordered, simply order more and they will make it fresh for you and bring it out. The pizza, pasta and desert are all homestyle hearty Italian food that, even if these guys weren't all you can eat, I would still go there because it is the way italian food is meant to taste.
I love the Capricosa Pizza.. Absolutely brilliant. All the pasta is made fresh in the store, so any of those dishes are superb as well. Who don't want a real taste of FRESH seafood next to the famous Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle? Tired of Fish n' Chips and want a more high class taste? Go Sails. This lovely restaurant, with dim lights and light music, indoor wood heating in winter, and the whole harbour view from above, will attract you to come again. Want some wine with your favourite dish? Sails gives you a large range to select from the drink menu, such as Swan Valley and Margaret River selections or those from other states. With most dishes Sails also provide a suggested drink, good for those have no specfic favour. Sails also got a very interesting dessert menu. My favourite is the "IT Academic". Find out what it is during your visit.
In winter (July and August), we have lots of rock lobsters (also known as clayfish). Sails has a special menu of lobster. It includes cheese, garlic, chilli, and even wasabi! Some of the favours can have mix, so you can enjoy 2 favours with 1 lobster. Give it a go for about Aus$30+.
