Don't be deceived by the look of this place. I had almost walked by, when I decided to have a peep inside and then stopped here for a quick lunch. The ambience was cozy and reminded me of the old Australian tea-rooms, I felt as though I had stepped back into the past. The food was all homemade and tasted wonderful. It was served by very friendly staff and I didn't have to wait long to be served even though it was busy.
Favorite Dish: Since I had been away from the Aussie food for some time, I chose an Aussie meat pie! It was delicious, served with chips and a nice salad.

Whilst walking down the Cappuchino Strip in Fremantle's South Terrace, the Dome coffee House caught my eye and I just had to go in and have a look...and a coffee too! The interior design looked just as nice as the exterior and the coffee tasted great!
The dome was founded in the 1980s and was previously Fremantle's Free Lending Library (opened in September 1949). The coffee shop is popular for its fine selection of coffee but also serves light meals, fancy cakes and biscuits, all exquisitely made.

Coming from the dry Australian desert and on a Friday night we had to go to Clancy’s Fish Pub for our diner.
The pub has an attractive interior with bright coloured furniture and (of course) fish decorations everywhere. It was full of locals and I think we were the only tourists. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Favorite Dish: We had a perfect ‘snapper’ with chips; perhaps not the original ‘fish and chips’, but it tasted very good and together with a Australian white wine, it was more than worth the money.

With its Italian influence and relaxed ways, Fremantle's the obvious place to head for for an for icecream or gelato fix. Strolling down the Cappuccino Strip with a big cone packed with your favourite flavours is a "Must Do" for locals and visitors alike.
Gelare, Amano's, Gelatino, Cold Rock all take great pride in their delicious gelato. They're all either on or very close to the Cappuccino Strip so the one you choose is more likely to be a question of which one is closest when the icecream munchies hit.
Favorite Dish: I look out for unusual and delicious flavours such as prickly pear and rose petal. Macadamia's always a favourite and Baci or Tiramisu set the taste buds drooling.

Mexican restaurant just off the main street of Fremantle. Watch out for the nights where you can buy half price jugs of cocktails – used to be Thursday night, not sure what night it is now. A good menu with very well priced options, fully licensed.
No wheelchair access.

Indian restaurant in the main street, which was recently voted the best Indian Restaurant in WA for 2005. Set in a small, narrow little building, but the food was fantastic the one time I visited.
The 3rd floor of the restaurant has fabric and jewellery displays and on the weekends the bar room metamorphoses into a small boutique.
Favorite Dish: Everything I've eaten here has been divine.

This is the most popular Italian restaurant in Freo. It's amazing to see the queue especially on Sunday. Loads of people come here to have their delicious pizza and some wine.
A noisy place to be, it's better to sit outside by the main road of South Terrace and people-watch :)
Be here early on Sunday afternoon, or make an early reservation.
Favorite Dish: Try their mussels. and pizzas of course.
They come in generous portions.

Just like the building, food served at Madonna's is very stylish!
It's a pretty restaurant, less noisy compared to other Italian restaurants in Freo. But I should say it's not as good as Pizza Bellaroma next door :)
Favorite Dish: Try any of their pizzas.

I always went to Kailis even though there were other choices of seafood restaurants in Freo. But this was my favorite. Why?
Price is reasonable, they have a good range of menu choices, fun crowd, and a great location.
This restaurant also sells cakes, rolls, and pastries.
Favorite Dish: Fish and Chips! also try their chilli mussels, yum.
Love the scones w/jam, baklava.

a place where u can get authentic mexican food! it's got a nice ambience; very dark with soft lighting downstairs whereas upstairs is more well-lit and it caters to the ones who want the noisy experience: loud mexican music at the bar.
great location - on the cappucino strip in freo.
friendly staff too!
Favorite Dish: seafood chalupa - it's a hugee meal. it took me like an hour to finish it =) fresh seafood - fish, scallops, and shrimps. mmm..

Q: I'm curious to know if anybody knows the opening times and costs of the wheel? Thanks

A: Walked past it yesterday, looks good but did not check price. As holiday season in Perth including school holidays I would expect it to be operating by 9am.
