Haven't actually done this myself but would like to one day. We often see the training groups going out around Rockingham, Fremantle and Mandurah. These pics were at Woodman Point just south of Fremantle. The company is based in Perth and pick you up in their van to take you to the best spots for diving and/or snorkelling. A variety of trips (some including a cruise to the best spots)are available starting from less than $100 Au. Some snorkelling cruises are suitable for children with special rates for families(see website for details)
Hire of equipment is included in the price. Leave a Comment

Sometimes you have to compete with the pelicans! by Purpleshade, 2 more photos Fishing is a popular activity all along the coast either from the beaches or the many jetties. Small shops near all the popular spots sell bait. Leave a Comment Theme: Fishing Trips

by keeweechic Fremantle definitely has a big sailing attraction. Aside from the Fremantle yacht club, there is also the East Fremantle Yacht Club. This facility is also for the non-boating patrons who just enjoy the bar and dining experience. They will also cater for private functions and weddings. Included in the club is a modern gym and sauna. If you are boating though, you can hire boat storage, pens and moorings. There is a slipway and a boat launching ramp and petrol and diesel are available 24 hrs. Leave a Comment Theme: Boating/SailingAddress: Off Petra Street, East Fremantle

by keeweechic This is quite a unique complex in the respect of how they store boats. They have a 3 storey boat stacker. Vessels are lifted up from the water by a special forklift which can life some 3.5 tonnes, and store in these tiered little boat houses. You only have to give an hours notice when you want to get it down and go for a cruise. The complex also has fuel and offers general boat maintenance. by keeweechic Football in Fremantle has been represented back as far as 1885 when 4 clubs contested the premiership. The old Victoria Grandstand style was very popular at the turn of the century with its iron lacework and towers. This one was opened by Sir John Forrest in 1897. The Fremantle Sailing Club has been around since the early 1900’s and has hosted major events including the Whitbread stopovers and the America’s Cup syndicates. The club moved to its current location at Success Harbour in 1979. Activity days are Wednesday evening at twilight, Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday. by keeweechic There is now a new jetty which has been built on the beach and a popular fishing spot. Some fish caught in the area are tailor, bream, garfish, herring, flathead, pink snapper and if you can handle it, some monster rays. Bait can be bought from the Coogee Beach Deli on Powell Street. by keeweechic The Quit Motorplex is not far from the Kwinana Freeway and was opened in 2000 to accommodate speedway and drag racing. Today it is reported to be the best dirt speedway in the world. The Kwinana Motorplex is located less than 30 minutes from Perth City. Travelling down the Kwinana Freeway from Perth, take the Anketell Rd exit. The Quit Motorplex entrance is only 100 metres from the corner of Rockingham Rd and Anketell Rd. Leave a Comment Theme: Sports WatchingAddress: Anketell Rd Kwinana Beach

by keeweechic Kite Surfing is relatively new sport which uses a very large stunt kite to provide the wind power to waterski or surf. The afternoon Fremantle Doctor provides good breezes along the Cockburn Sound. Leave a Comment
