    Driving to Geraldton

by keeweechic Written Feb 10, 2008

If you are driving from Perth, it will take you about 5 hours straight through but there is plenty to stop and see on the way up so give yourself a good part of the day.

From Perth take the Great Eastern Hwy, connecting with the Great Northern Hwy until you get to the Brand Hwy and follow it all the way to Geraldton. Or if you stop off at the Pinnacles on the way, you could drive up the coast road through all the small fishing towns until you connect back with the Brand Hwy just south of Port Denison.

We arrived in Geraldton on the Dawn Princess, which is the Princess ship that just does Australian and Pacific cruises. The ship got to the port late. It was a tender port.
