Hamelin Bay Things to Do
North of Monkey Mia in Western Australia -
We then went to see the Stromatolites (more than three billion year old) at Hamelin Pool. Theory has it that life began from these Stromatolites, and the only place in the world one can see them is at Hamelin Pool in Western Australia, and they are still living !
Near the end of the day, when the sun is about to go down, there are stingrays that come to feed in the shallows of the beach at Hamelin Bay.
My boyfriend and I went there to see them, and unfortunately the water was too rough so we didn't get the opportunity to see them. However, some locals were there and told us that normally, when the water is calm, they are there. You can slap your hands on the water and they will come up to you - you can stroke them, but be careful of the barbs If you go in the water, shuffle your feet.
This is a bit of a secret from tourists - it's not a well known thing, so take advantage of this knowledge - it's a beautiful place and there's hardly anyone around! Yay!Related to:

Located 20km south of Denham, Eagle Bluff is the home of osprey. If you go to the lookout point in the day, you may be able to view marine creatures such as sharks and dugongs swimming at the shallow waters. I was there in the evening for sunset.Related to:
