Rushton Park, Home of the Peel Thunder

Rushton Park is home to the mighty Peel Thunder F.C whose base has been in the capital of the Peel region - Mandurah.

The ground is set for refurbishment soon but the venue has been home for many a fan, with a capacity of about 8000 this small venue is ideal for a club such as Peel Thunder.

The sheltered estuarine waters of Mandurah shelter the town and cover an area of 155 sq kms. These tranquil waters make it an ideal spot for canoeing, kayaking and wind surfing as well as other water sports.

Popular fishing spots in Mandurah are the landings under the traffic bridges but there are various places through the Estuary where you can just throw a line out. With the inlet opening into the Indian Ocean there are always consistent fish catches.
