If you are coming to Mingenew from Perenjori then you'll go past Morawa.
We heard that the wreath flower was good at Morawa so we decided to stop at the Information Centre and ask.
Well I'm glad we did becuase the nice lady told us it was a good season this year (2008) and gave us directions.....so off we went in the search of the famous wreath flower and were pleasantly surprised....read all about it in my travelogues below.

Well after a big day flower viewing we had built up a thirst as usual......oh shoosh!! ...... you don't need to remind me of the coldie I had at Coalseam?!! ;o)
The kids were hungry ok?!! .... So we headed back to the Mingenew pub for some dinner and a few ales.....and to get the money we owed the Caravan Park.
Anyway, this pub is definately worth a visit.....even if it's just for the huge dog out the back. I mean this thing was as big as a horse!!....and ate like one too!! .... see the pic inside ;o)

Anyway, finally at the Coalseam National Park....and this year in 2008 we were pleasantly surprised to see that the paperdaisys or everlastings were out.
Colours of yellow with the odd blue flower on one side and a sea of pink on the other. Absolutely stunning!! See my travelogue.
Oooops, sorry.....my beer just happened to get in the way ;o)

The Australian scenery changes dramatically. One minute you are driving in the bush and the next it's wide open spaces with roads to Timbuktoo...... :o)
Here's the road into Coalseam National Park.
Favorite thing:
Mingenew is about 4 and a half hours north from Perth.
You'll find the everlastings in Coalseam National Park and to get there, we travelled east towards Morawa and about 5 minutes up the road is the turn off for Coalseam National Park.

When travelling on open roads you still have to keep your wits about you. You might come up over a hill and be confronted with one of these.....
