During the month of October, there is a tradition of hanging the quilts through the main street of Northampton. Wonderful and very colourful quilts are hung from the buildings including the Old Convent and the Old Police Station. During this time there is a real fair-like atmosphere with lots of crafts and homemade food and a street parade.
