Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: lots of free camping areas. Best to go to camping areas rather than just on the road.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The Australian climate is strange. It can be very hot but at night it cools down considerably. I only packed summer stuff when I went first and I ended up wearing the long warm scarf I brought from winter cold Europe. So take a nice warm sweater with you.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: What they say is very true! The sun is very harsh down under. So make sure you have your shoulders covered, a spf 20 or even 30 in your bag and a big sunhat! Well not a very big sunhat…just be careful.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Even in Summer, it can get cold in the desert at night, pack a light sweater or jacket and ensure that you have sturdy hiking shoes.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Pack light, You can purchase just about anything, just about anywhere.
Pack a travel first aid kit!
Photo Equipment: I always travel with my Minolta SLR camera with 2 lenses (1x 35/80 and 1x 75/300 zoom), a two times converter, a polariser for both lenses, a spare battery and 10 spare rolls of 400 asa film with 1 loaded in the camera.
Miscellaneous: Always ensure that you have plenty of drinking water and food, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a flashlight and a box of matches incase you get lost!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: if you are going in winter, a small handy foldable umbrella might e usefull. for summer, make sure you bring a bottle of insect repellent (or you could always buy one in perth). there really are lots of flies!!!

Luggage and bags: Big ones that can take being thrown. Hard. Baggage handlers are the same world wide.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Pack for the season, but remember that it doesnt get really cold, and it does get really really hot!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Buy it when you get there, you can get whatever you need easily.
Photo Equipment: Go digital, with lots of spare memory. You will need it.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Swimwear, hat, sunblockout, water bottle, beach towel, sunglasses.
Miscellaneous: Cork screw, pate knife, International Drivers Licence.
