The Shamrock was originally a boarding house built in 1911 for the town's mill workers. It was transformed into a restaurant in the late 1970's and is home of WA's Wagyu Beef (Kobe) and renouned for it's Marron and Trout platter. It's good old fashioned homestyle cooking.
You can actually stay here in the renovated apartments out the back.
Open 6 days a week for dinner and it's BYO.
Favorite Dish: You gotta try the marron when you're in town. The Shamrock does is boiled in salted water, which is lovely.

The restaurant is open 7 days a week from 5.30pm. The specialities are the Marron and Trout Platter which serves two. Their home country cooking is well known.
The building was constructed in 1911 and operated as a boarding house for the Pemberton Mill workers. Prior to electricity in the town, it housed batteries which were used for powering the Timber Mill. During the late 1970’s, the café was turned into a restaurant that it is today.

There’s not a lot to offer in Pemberton but this was one of our choices. They have dine in and take out and the menu is fairly extensive and not unlike most Chinese restaurants. The food was good, maybe a little on the high side. The Chicken and Sweet Corn soup was not the best I’ve had but ok. The other dishes were fine. The restaurant is BYO.
Open Wed, Thurs and Sunday 5.00pm to 8.30pm., Fri and Sat 5.00pm to 9.00pm.
