The area north just north of Perth CBD is called Northbridge. Here one can really enjoy Perth nightlife at its best. Along James Street, one can wine and dine and dance away at some its numerous establishments.
Northbridge can be sleazy and sophisticated at the same time. The pubs however exude neighbourly atmosphere. My favourite is the Brass Monkey. It's where many Perth residents meet before a night out in town.

Located in the popular nightlife area of Northbridge, the Mustang Bar is a large, lively venue. I went there at about 9pm on a Saturday and although it was no problem to get in, the live music was already in full swing. As well as the live music, you can play pool, get something to eat from the bar menu or just get drunk. They also have a number of screens showing various live games although if there is live music playing, don’t expect to hear the commentary. By the time I came out at 1am, there was a bit of a queue so if you don’t like to waste your evening waiting to get into a place, get there early.

One of the few good food places opened till late!
Big serving of food, my recommendation is a moon burger. Drinks of all kinds including cocktails and a classic cherry coke!
On Monday and Tuesday they have a $9 pasta special.
No bookings needed however it is always busy.
