I am not really a Indian food type of guy. To tell you the truth, its not on my top ten list. But if i have to be forced to visit an Indian food restaurant, then i would prefer Bengals in Fremantle.
Located in the heart of Fremantle, just 2 blocks from the Fremantle Bus and Train Station. Bengals Indian Restaurant is within the old Fremantle Fire Station. The same building that Old Firestation Backpackers is located in. In fact, most of the staff are backpackers, earning there stay, and some extra traveling money.
The firestation was built in 1907, and was in threat of being demolished when a new one was built, but a public up roar to save the old landmark, made city planners think twice. In 1991, Bengals moved in, and restored the building to its old glory days.
The station still has its great big bright red fire doors, that are opend in the warmer months, which gives the restaurant a great feel. It also still has what ever fire station needs, and thats a cool fire pole.

Favorite Dish: My favorite dish has to be the Butter Chicken. Pieces of chicken, marinated in garlic and ginger, and then served in a thick, creamy tomato sauce.
