This brewery/restaurant has a buzz about it. It is lively, yet relaxed. Funky music plays, but not so loud that it interferes. We visited Little Creatures for lunch and sat on the balcony overlooking the water which added to the atmosphere. People all around us, yet it was not too noisy. It has alfresco dining, so you get that fresh, outdoors feel. Otherwise you can sit inside or under the olive trees at the front of the restaurant. There is also an art gallery upstairs. This is a typical example of Perth people being casual and doing some of the things they like best. This is the Perth way of life. The staff are particularly friendly and efficient. We were very impressed by the way they did their jobs.
Although we are not beer drinkers, Steve had a few pints of the "Pale Ale" for $7.00 each. He really enjoyed it. There is a wine list available too. I drank the NZ Spy Valley Sauvignon Blanc for $6.50 per glass. Bottles are available for $30. It was a very nice wine. We tried the grilled cajun squid with lime coriander mayo for $16.00. I was not overly impressed with it, however and would give it about 7/10. We then had an atlantic salmon, creme fraiche and capers woodfired pizza for $18, which was ~nice, I'd rate it at about 7.5-8/10. We had the harissa spiced lamb with melanzane and fetta pizza which was delicious and rated at 9/10. The menu is extensive with some interesting combinations such as: haloumi, chickpea and watermelon salad for $13.00, blue cheese, pear and rocket pizza $15.00, marinated kangaroo with bush tomato chutney $16.00. As with all restaurants in Perth, GST is included and no extras are payable unless you would like to tip your waiter (but not necessary). by juliealdous Well a great place to sit and relax in .There are tables outside if you like or make yourself comfortable inside. The food here is great and the ales are even better. They have an area where they display local artists work which is well worth a look. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
I must say my fav dish is the mussels and i hope you can eat alot of them or share with a friend as the bowl seems to go on for ever. As for the ale I could not choose which one I liked best they are all great. And they are award winning ales so go along and have fun trying them all. The Little Creatures Brewery is a locally owned an operated micro brewery. It is well situated with a rustic ambience and decor inside a big boat shed on the Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle. The brewery is completely open for inspection and the delicious beers are poured straight from the tanks! The restaurant is open all day and bookings are not required so you can just wander in whenever you like. The bar and restaurant is open 7 days a week from 10am to midnight Mon-Fri. Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to midnight. Sorry folks... there aren't any pictures here because yours truly forgot to take his camera!
My favourite dish was the chilli mussels still in the shell still swimming in a spicy and rich chilli sauce. My only regret was that there wasn't enough bread to sop up the spicy juices! The marinated octopus was also quite nice but I found it to be a tad sweet for my taste. You're spoilt for choice when it comes to their own wood fired pizza's and I can thoroughly recommend the harissa spiced lamb with melenzana and feta. Also highly recommended is the prawn with coriander pesto and shiitake mushrooms. This is a great joint - its a hip bar with a small marina waterfront. I took my folks there, and its the type of place that they can feel comfortable in, but you dont feel like your in a conservative old folks restaurant. The building next door (I think - might be a few doors down) used to be the base for the winning Denniis Conner NY yacht club's America's cup boat effort - checkout the large shed - tall enough to host the boat on skids .... also look across the water to MG Kalis's HQ - howd you like a job with water on both sides of the building ....
I like their pizza's best - all sorts of interesting varieties youve never tried before. Leave a Comment Theme: PizzaPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Mews Rd, FremantleDirections: Next to the Zanzi bar

OK - I didn't eat here, so I can't comment on the food, but the beer is really good. And the best part about it is that half the bar is the brewery. They're making beer right in front of you! If you're walking along the harbour it's defnitely worth a try. Leave a Comment Theme: Pub/BreweryAddress: Mews Rd, FremantleDirections: Next to the Zanzi bar

little creatures is my favorite place to go out to in perth, its actually in fremantle (right next door) located on the fishin boat harbor in a place just made for chilling out. little creatures is an award winning micro brewery come fantastic restaraunt, wine bar, pub, witch oozes a great time as you walk in the door. it incorporates onsite brewing, (fantastic beer) great food and wine and it even has a gallery showcasing local artists, not to mention great music. on top of it all its affordable!! you cant go past this place for atmosphere and a time day or night.
